When I think of Thanksgiving the first thought that comes to mind is my family and of course turkey.  I will however not be with my family for Thanksgiving but Praise God there will be TURKEY!  We have been talking a lot about thanksgiving and my focus is still not being at home with my family….going to breakfast at church then lunch with my family. It is hard to not miss home when it is a holiday.  However, The Lord has reminded me that my home is where He is and that I am thankful in him and for Him.  There are a lot of times here when we become discouraged and ready for our Christmas break but God is faithful in His call and He encourages the commitment of what we are doing daily and not just that we have a short time until we go home for our break.  Our God is a God of the present and does have purpose for each moment of our day so we should not "live for the break" but live for HIS GLORY and WILL to be met in us every day and giving thanks in it all.  I want to choose to enjoy Thanksgiving because of the Lord and my thankfulness for God being GOD in my life and not focus on not being with my family but focusing on my Mexico family and the work that the Lord does in us.
