GRACE

At my dear friend Jen's church the sermons around the time of the new year… were about asking God to give you a word … a word that would speak truth into your life for however long you need it… most likely for the rest of your life.  I began praying for God to give me a word… a word He wanted me to CLING to and LONG for and have growth in for my life, specifically my last semester as an FYM in Mexico.  In the last couple of days the Lord GAVE me my word.  The word is GRACE.  The Lord has been reminding me of His immense grace that He has given me and will continue to give me all the days of my life.  He has led me to Romans 15:7 accept one another JUST as Christ accepted you in order to bring Praise to God.  What an amazing way to remember the power of his grace and how much of a gift His grace is in our lives.  Im learning what it looks like to extend grace to others… ESPECIALLY when I do not want to.  What mighty power and authority we have in His spirit to guide us and give us times to use the lessons He is teaching us.  Sometimes learning the lessons we learn are NO fun at all… but what hope we have in the growth God is giving us.  I am exciting to see the chances to grow through extending grace and accepting God's grace in my own life.  It is such a blessing to be in this place with great accountability and opportunity to learn.
